TAI is a multi-disciplinary, multi-located, team, working in tandem towards a common vision. It draws on existing agencies involved in “Responsible Tourism” as well as contributions from designers, architects, adventure tour operators, event managers, mainstream tour operators, travel advisors, catering experts, hotel managers, as well as satisfied clients.
The core team comprise of Gouthami and Vinay Raj.
Ms Gouthami has 18 years of work experience with international and national development agencies such as ActionAid, Concern Worldwide, Christian Aid, and Kutch Mahila Vikas Sangathan. At KMVS, she was part of the team that set up the Shaam-e-Sarhad Rural Resort in Hodka village, Kutch (www.hodka.in). She was a consultant with the UNDP for their Endogenous Tourism Project implemented with the support of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India (www.exploreruralindia.org), providing support to two of their endogenous tourism projects in Kerala and one in Karnataka. Mr Vinay Raj is an ardent and intrepid traveller, having served for over two decades in the development, humanitarian and corporate sectors, spanning Asia and East Africa managing large teams, fostering innovations and partnerships. He is passionate about supporting livelihoods of endogenous communities, conscious of their cultural roots and ethos. Currently, this passion is channelled through TAI. raj@travelanotherindia.com

A qualified Chartered Accountant, Ms Meera Menon (in her 21 years of work) has been involved in IT consulting in the Financial Services Domain. The nature of her job has necessitated extensive travel, and this has helped in creating the ability to assess and assist in supporting responsible tourism projects. mmenon@travelanotherindia.com
Ms Naga Nandini, our designer, has worked with crafts groups across eastern and southern India for twenty years now. She is currently based in Bangalore and teaches part-time at the Srishti School of Design. naganandini@yahoo.com
Sangeetha is an avid trekker and has travelled extensively in the Himalayas and climbed in other parts of the world. She is a trained outdoor leader and has led high altitude trekking expeditions and camps. And trekking is only her hobby.
